Calling All Weedies! Volunteer to keep Mission Trail Nature Preserve Free of Unwelcome Growth |
Friends of the Mission Trail Nature Preserve - welcomes one and all.
We meet every second Saturday at 9:30 am at the Mt.View entry on Saturday. Click here for a Map
We will be focusing on a relatively easy cleanup of the Mt.View entry to MTNP. Lots of sweeping and cleaning of the entry paths, stairs, ramps, and bridges. We will also be doing trimming, watering, cutting dry grasses, chipping trails, and generally making this main entry point more inviting.
This was the first project Friends of MTNP lobbied to collaborate with the City and kick-started restoration of the entire Preserve. Friends provided matching funds and presented the conceptual design that was eventually approved. Friends also helped finance and install many of the amenities presently in place.
Parking is very limited so if you can't find a place to park Forest Theater has ample space. If you have to park some distance away, drop your tools off at the entry and then park.
