Notable City Hall Week Indeed
  • Our updated Housing Element received public comments, then the week ended with a a revised submission was sent to Sacramento HCD crossing fingers for a final certification with a month.

  • A Community Listening Session on our Police Station Project - it was a great venue for interactive and informal exchange.

  • A significant Phase 2 Local Coastal Plan - Hazards Policy Update funding request and overall update was approved.

  • A mid-fiscal year budget adjustment was approved, 2 Mills Act submissions were approved, and a Phase 2 preliminary outlook for Capital Improvements was reviewed.

Plus, please also mark your calendars for the Strategic Planning Workshop Thursday March 28th from 10-4 in Carpenter Hall. This is the ideal place to hear from City Council and influence the priorities for the next fiscal year.

Wednesday April 24 - CRA Hosts A Conversation with Mary Adams - our Monterey County District 5 Supervisor. On April 24th at 6:30 doors open at the Carmel Woman’s Club, as Mary offers her 8 years of insights on the workings on the Monterey County dais and beyond.  In an interactive question format, we will cover topics including Mary’s experience and roles in County and Regional area committees and  boards – covering AMBAG, Energy, Water, Transportation and more.  Details are available HERE
