CRA’s Annual Feast in the Forest - a Polynesian / Hawaiin Expereince!
Saturday September 13th in the Indian Village at Pebble Beach

 
 

It was a fun time, great food, wonderful company…plus an auction of great items and experiences from members, local businesses and more. This year we are encouraging attire of your best Hawaiian shirts, puka shells and leis. Can anyone hula or blow a conch shell? Hawaiian themed attire was optional...but added to the fun.

Dining & Beverages for all!

At this years Feast in the Forest - we'll again enjoy a themed meal from our local award-winning Chef Tim Wood, of Woody's at the AirportDel Mesa and CVAC too. 
Our Menu provides Hawaiian Roles, Chef's Salad, Tim's Mac Salad, Swank Farms Roaster Vegetables, Fried Rice, Kalua Pork, Hali Hali Chicken and for desert Pineapple Upside Down Cake 
Tim's great festive meal will be embellished with donations of harvested bounties throughout our region with vegetables from Swank Farms and with paired fruits of the vine from Folktail Winery.
All included in your Feast in the Forest ticket price.

Silent Action - a Big Success, with our Thanks!

Our silent Auction Items were AMAZING this year once again.  Stroll around the Auction tables as your arrive to check out the items and learn more. Simply sign the item description list provide with your bid - the highest bid per item wins.  You don't need to be there to win as the highest bidder.  Take these local business generous items (or certificates) home with you - while you support the programs, content and services your Carmel Residents Association delivers to you and our amazing community
In no particular order these items include (and see participating businesses in the image below):
* 13 gift certificates from our local eateries  (ranging from $50-250 retail value)
* 4 gift items including dog and hostess themed baskets, ceramic platter with Raku lesson 
* 3 gift certificates for Spa Services - Massage, Dermaplane and Woman's Hair Cut (ranging from $95-165 value)
* 4 local entertainment tickets to go to - Monterey Symphony for 4, Carmel's iCantori for 2, Pac Rep Theater for 4 & Oct 11th Meet the Makers for 2 ($100 - $300 value)
* 5 local activities - Pasadera Golfing for 4 ($1000 value), LINKS Virtual Golfing for 25 ($500 value), Princess Whale Watching for 2, Monterey Bay Football Club for 2, Mad Dogs bike rental and coffee bar certificate ($150 value)

More Event Details

    • Reservations – Were made for your $50 per person registration.
    • When & Where – We gathered between 4:00 and 7:00 PM Saturday September 13th at Indian Village in Pebble Beach.
      Directions are best found by entering "Indian Village on Dunes Road" (it's not Indian Village Road) into your mobile device, The Dunes Road is on 17 Mile Drive between Bird Rock and Seal Rock.  The Dunes Road is also the location of "the Gingerbreak House".  Drive past the Gingerbread House, and vere to the left into the Indian Village Park or also ask the gate guard for instructions. There is plenty of parking available.
    • At any of the Pebble Beach gates tell the guard you are attending the "Carmel Residents Association (CRA) event in Indian Village" that waives the visitor fee.
    • Attire –  Of course is casual, plus we recommend bringing an added layer of warmth as the sunsets or fog (it happens) with your Hawaiian attire.
    • Seating - The Indian Village picnic tables seating are first come - first seated.  Plus - the benches are very firm - so if you have cushions handy, bring them.

LAST YEARS (2024) - It's an annual "Roundup" of CRA Members & Guests

Sunday, From 3-7PM September 8th    
at the Indian Village Picnic Grounds in Pebble Beach on "The Dunes Road"

  

Indeed a great time had by all....plus some
lucky raffle winners with great items from our Members and Businesses!

And for those who Facebook, our member Stephen Woo again produced a great video HERE.

Dust off your Cowboy hats, boots, shirts with pearl button and fringes, and a bandana and head up the trails, just a bit north of our Village, for a great time had by all!  (Western themed attire is optional...but adds to the fun)

It's a Western themed Sunday afternoon gathering for y'all, this year. We're lookin' to round you all up to join us at the Indian Village at Pebble Beach for the CRA Annual Feast in the Forest - for some great BBQ grub and beverages and the best darn folks on the planet!  

Just like 2023, we again will have a Raffle of amazing items donated from local businesses and members.  To add to the community fun and BBQ theme - optionally for those with cooking skills - bring a homemade pie to add to our Donation/Raffle table (see Raffle info below). 

Again we will enjoy the great foods by Chef Tim Wood, of Woody's at the Airport & Woody's at Del Mesa.  Our great meal will be embellished with donations of harvested and created bounties throughout our region with vegetables from Swank Farms and thoughtfully paired beverages including Folktale Wines and Alvarado Street Brewery & Bistro

This event's grub will bring some great BBQ items, corn bread, salads, fruits, veggies and a fitting desert to delight us all. Details coming shortly and will be available on this page.

Logistics and Reminders

    • When & Where – We gathered between 3:00 and 7:00 PM Sunday September 8th at Indian Village on The Dunes Road in Pebble Beach.
      Directions are best found by entering "Indian Village Picnic Grounds" (the Park and NOT the Indian Village road) into your mobile map or the "Gingerbread House" that is also on Dunes Road.  The Dunes Road is between Seal and Bird Rock off of 17 Mile Drive.
      Parking is readily available - but please nose-in park close to each other, so we can all fit. 
      17 Mile Gate Entry  At any of the Pebble Beach gates, tell the guard you are attending the "Carmel Residents Association (CRA) event in Indian Village Picnic Grounds" that waives the visitor fee.

    • Attire –  Of course is casual, plus we recommend bringing an added layer of warmth as the sun sets or fog rolls in. Western attire is encouraged!

    • Plus - the benches at Indian Village are firm - so if you have cushions handy, bring them.

Everybody participates in our great Raffle! 

1 ticket per attendee is included and provided to all at the welcome/registration as you check in on Sunday.  Drop half of your raffle ticket into the Raffle item container at the Raffle Desk for our drawing. Plus you could also purchase additional raffle tickets in support of Carmel Residents Association programs - while enjoying the great products and services throughout Carmel!  Plus more raffle tickets are available for $10 each, or 5 for $40. Cash or Credit on site. 

We are compiling great items, contributions and gift certificates for the raffle and to add to funding upcoming CRA programs and for community benefits.  These came from our great local businesses, and possibly some of you, plus some of your homemade pies too.
