Oh, come all ye CRA faithful, and celebrate the Holiday Season with members and guests.  Join us as we gather once again at La Playa Hotel on December 3, 2021, for an evening of food, wine, and amazing company.  Live background music will also help set the mood.     

Reception: Mix and mingle with fellow members beginning with check-in at 5:30 pm. The Cocktail Hour begins at 5:30 pm on the Pacific Terrace where complimentary red and white wines will be served throughout the reception and dinner.  For those who prefer a cocktail, a Cash Bar will also be available on the Pacific Terrace.  For those who have more elaborate tastes or prefer Credit Card payment Bud's Bar will also be open for business.

Dining: Most dining tables will be hosted by one of your welcoming CRA Board Members - with dinner served at 6:30 pm in the Pacific Room. We'll begin with a Special Holiday Salad - Salinas Valley greens with pomegranate seeds and goat cheese. Followed by your choice of:

1. Osso Bucco: Pork shanks braised to perfection, served with seasonal vegetables
2. Salmon: Alaskan salmon served atop a bed of Israeli couscous. Seasonal vegetables, light harissa sauce, and blistered heirloom cherry tomatoes
3. Mushroom Ravioli: Served with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, accompanied by a béchamel sauce

   Apple stacks (Apple pie) with coffee ice cream will be served for dessert along with coffee or tea.  Our Gala will conclude at 9:30PM.

Proof of Vaccination is Required - COVID19 Protocols

In respect for everyone attending, even with advanced pre-payment & registration - anyone not able to present one of the following will be declined entrance into our evening event.  We are requiring of all participants:
a) proof of a negative COVID19 test taken 72 hours prior to our event or 
b) proof of vaccination: 
      at check-in Friday evening, or
      in advance via email or text - by NO later than 9PM Thursday Dec 2

Thanks to those who've already provided their vaccination information in advance of December 3rd. Your confidential information will not be retained by CRA for your privacy.  You can email an image of your negative test results or vaccination card(s) to [email protected] or text to 650-740-3477.

Dress Code??

Many of you have asked about the dress recommendations for our evening. Holiday attire is suggested (some sparkles or holiday sweaters maybe).  But of course, we do live in a beach town - so most anything goes.  

Seating Arrangements?

There are no reserved seats, other than the 1 CRA Board Member at any one table.  Of course, this is a great gathering to get to learn more about and make new friends with your fellow members. So where a few of you are looking to sit together - have the first arriving person in your party save some open spots for when dinner is served (put a piece of paper with the person's name possibly).

Our original event invitations requested your $75 per person payment and entrée choice on or before Friday November 19th to confirm your reservation.  You were requested to complete your registration and credit card payment by using the event link above.
Or:
A) Call Nancy at 650-740-3477 who can answer any issues on the online signup and can take your registration and payment details live.
Or:
B) You can confirm your attendance by check – that must be received on or before November 19th – at CRA, PO Box 13, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Ca 93921.   Include your email and  phone number and meal selections with any postal mailed sign-up. 
You will be sent a confirmation of your reserved seats for this great annual event.
