Our 2025 CRA Holiday Gala will be held 
December 3rd WEDNESDAY - 5:30 to 7:30PM

Oh, come all ye CRA faithful, and celebrate this Holiday Season with our members and their guests - at a different, yet well-known and welcoming local special spot - Anton & Michel's on Wednesday December 3rd. Enjoy an evening of food and wine,  while you make new friends with your fellow members. The Anton & Michel management is doing an exclusive buyout for only the Carmel Residents Association Celebration - limiting to a maximum of 85!  Seating is limited, so register ASAP to save your spot.

For Your Holiday Dining:  

Everyone will begin with Anton & Michel's infamous Caesar Salad made with hearts of romaine, white anchovy, grana padano cheese, croutons and Caesar dressing.

Your main dish options (selected when you register) include:
  1. Black Angus Flat Iron Steak, beef jus, gorgonzola, house potato chips
  2. Wild Mushroom Risotto, basil pesto, black truffle, parmesan
  3. King Salmon, fregola sarda pasta, roasted corn, smoked trout roe
  4. Free-Range Chicken Breast, garlic confit, baby carrots, Yukon gold mash

Desert is a delightful Chocolate Truffle Torte with Raspberry Coulis and Coffee Service.
As usual, red and white wines are provided and are included with your registration fee. A bartender is on hand for those who prefer to purchase well drinks of your choice. Plus, our huge thanks to the Williams Family and Folktale Winery and Vineyards who have donated wine for our gathering!

Dress Code: We are often asked about the dress recommendations for our evening. Holiday attire is suggested (some sparkles or holiday sweaters maybe?).  But of course, we do live in a beach town - so most anything goes.  (...will there be Kilts once again??)

Registration & Fee: This great CRA sit-down-dinner holiday celebration is $90 per person. You need to make your meal selection when you register.

Draft of Housing Element Amendment - Special Meeting Oct 20th

A Special Planning Commission Meeting was held to gather comments on this long-awaited draft by Staff and the AHA team. This session concluded with their general support for City Council review (plus various thoughts for future implementation). The next steps include:
- City Council Meeting November 3rd or 4th - providing direction to staff 
- Incorporate feedback as this is submitted to the State for formal review
- State 60-day review period
- 30-day mid-review check-in with HCD
- Receive letter from HCD - adopt or revise

Our "Forest for the Trees" - Oct 21st Special Workshop 

A Special Forest & Beach Commission Workshop with Staff hosted a (4hr) review of the new draft of the Forest Master Plan with relevant research background on our Urbanized Village Forest.

Oct 30, Thursday 10am-2pm - Visit CRA's Community Table at Carmel's Farmers Market surrounding Devendorf Park

Oct 31 - Friday 4pm - Village Anniversary/Halloween Parade starting a Devendorf Park, from Junipero to Monte Verde West, then back to Devendorf Park.
PLEASE join members and our CRA Board who march with our CRA Banner and help hand out our goodies for trick or treaters. Great times had by young and old!
