CRA's Feast in the Forest - Saturday Sept. 13th

It was a great sunny Hawaiian themed Saturday late afternoon gathering - at the Indian Village at Pebble Beach at the CRA Annual Feast in the Forest - where we enjoyed great food, beverages, and the best darn folks on the planet!

September 18th - Community Day - from  4-7PM in Devendorf Park - stop by to learn more about our amazing local non-profits, music and much more - hosted by the City Activities Team.

September 3rd - Special Pickle Ball City Council Session

This session included comments from the community and discussion by Council.  The direction reinforced respecting neighborhood's sound impacts of Pickle Ball at our Forest Hill Park. Ideas rejected included requiring soft/quiet equipment, but possible ideas included an accoustic fence and "local ambassadors" for oversight. Also shifting local Pickle Ball to Carmel Middle School courts was preliminarily discussed as an approach. This topic will come back to Council in the future (October) for decision making with added findings and alternative Ordinances.

September 4th - Standard Addresses Workshop

The Workgroup shared their findings and research on the future possibility of Standard Addresses for our Village.
Next step, Bob Delves, Vice Mayor, will deliver an executive summary of these sessions and community feedback for the October 6th or 7th City Council's consideration of a Resolution for next steps.

September 8th - Special City Council Meeting

Esperanza JB Pastor Building at 7th and DoloresAppeal hearing continued.
Results The 3 Council Members concluded that future plans by Esperanza must meet the parking and landscaping requirements for this site (the current plans do not meet the current code). The other three topics for consideration by the Appealants (Historic factors, Size and CEQA) were acccepted as previoulsy decided and approved by the Planning Commission.

Thursday Oct 2 - Taste of Carmel - A spectacular evening featuring 70 local restaurants and wineries, live music, and auction in the historic Carmel Mission courtyard. This year's theme is Boots, Bottles & Bites. Tickets are on sale now.

October 2-5 Carmel International Film Festival This four-day international competition will feature filmmakers from around the world showcasing their movies, featuring images that celebrate the local film and artistic history of the Monterey Peninsula. Get your passes now.
