Carmel High Home Coming Parade
Friday September 22nd 3:45PM

An annual tradition - our next generation of Carmelites, the students of Carmel High School march down Ocean Avenue with their pompoms, banners, many club insignia, cheerleaders, sports teams and besides it's just plain fun!

This breif and spirited Ocean Avenue take over is also a great opportunity for us all to cheer them on!  Businesses, organizations and more - sponsor these clubs, teams and classes. CRA is honored to sponsor the Freshman Class of 2027! These young people will carry their Carmel-by-the-Sea memories and roots forward in their journey's ahead.
Yea - Class of 2027!

For your reading pleasure, the full results of our Survey are available now - all 42 pages! are a great read indeed. Many thanks to the 18.6% of you who participated. The anonymous results are shown in graphs plus all open comments are included. These findings are very insightful as a barometer of the views of our participating members. On many topics we are closely aligned; on others we have more diverse opinions. These results were shared with our City Council and City Administrator requesting their consideration of their constituents views as they make decision on our behalf in the months to come.

The background on this survey with all press mentions will continued to be posted on our August 2023 Survey webpage

September 9th - CRA's Feast in the Forest - Check Out the Fun!

City Council Session Highlights

September 12th City Council

This weeks Carmel Pine Cone provided more indepth articles, but here are brief highlights. The Council approved the potential Pine Inn Parking lot project rezoning for next steps. The Council overturned the HRB decision - that now requires that the proposed JB Pastor project preserve and honor in place the concret and stone designed wall as included in the Historic Designations of this 7th & Dolores Anex.  The Council approved Draft of the Telecom (cell towers) ordinance in its first reading. (Our thanks to the citizen "Stop Cell Towers in Residential Neighborhoods" efforts, focus and sponsorship on this journey).  This City Agenda Packet is HERE and YouTube is HERE.

October 3rd City Council

We'll have to wait for the official notice....but highly anticipated agenda items include:  Car Week After Action Report, Strategic Priorities half yearly adjustments/updates, Paid Parking potential report, Exploring Addresses for Carmel, and 2nd reading of the Telecom Ordinance.  Just a few significant topics indeed.
