Thursday August 20th in Carpenter Hall at 4:30 PM is the first of two Town Halls on Tourism in our Village, another one is slated for early October. Plus, an online survey will be coming in the weeks ahead.

7) May 2026 Evacuation Drill – After Action Staff Report HERE, Findings: Great summary of results and learnings, with the slides & video details HERE
8) Request to waive Golden Bough Permit Fees. Staff Report HERE, Findings: Given PacRep's community arts/cultural significance, Council agreed to waive 1/2 of their fees.
9) Settlement Agreement with Verizon (each party absorbing costs) Staff Report HERE

10) Mills Act – Notices of Nonrenewal Staff Report HERE.
Findings: Council agreed to send non-renewal notices in January and requested Staff work on an alternative to Mills Act to address costs to preserve historic properties

1) Approval of Fee Schedule - Staff Report HERE
Findings: On Parking Fees, Council agreed with the recommendation of Staff: $48 for 1st offense, $60 for 2nd offense, $80 for 3rd offense within a year. A resolution was requested for next Council Meeting for approval, new fees to take effect 60 after the formal approval. Council did not approve the fee waiver as proposed. Council requested tiering of fees for landscaping, and for pressure washing sidewalks with encroachment fees. Background, documents, slides and video available HERE
2) Direction on Financial Stewardship Workgroup ad hoc. Staff Report HERE
Findings: Council agreed to create a formal standing public Financial Committee. Staff to draft details in following months to be in effect by January 2027. Documents and video available HERE
3) Construction Contract for the 10th and 12th Avenue Beach Stairs. Staff Report HERE
Findings: Council approved as covered in Staff Report
4) ADU Policy Directions. Staff Report HERE.
Findings: Council agreed the Planning Department should honor the requirements in our Local Coastal Program with new ADU permits, while the staff continues to revise our outdated ADU Ordinance with careful alignment with Coastal Commission and State requirements that retains our community character. 5) Directions on Potential Urgency Ordinance on Home Hardening and Wildfire Safety Regulations Citywide. Staff Report HERE
Findings: Council agreed to have Staff come back next month with an Emergency Ordinance for approval of the 4 items presented. Background, documents, slides and video available HERE

Advanced Parking Enforcement has Arrived!
 
Our Community Service Officer carts have license plate technology that uses GPS and photos to accurately capture parking times.The goal has never been to issue citations (Fee $40).
This enforcement helps keep spaces turning over, improves parking availability, and reduces the amount of time drivers spend looking for a place to park.Thank you for observing posted parking time limits.
Robinson Jeffers - Tor House

The Robinson Jeffers Tor House Foundation is a nonprofit organization of volunteer members established in 1978 to acquire, maintain and provide for public access to Tor House, Hawk Tower and the surrounding gardens. Signup to volunteer, or for tours, events and to donate here.
