Auction items we are seeking include: Travel experiences - hotel or resort nights, spas, activities, tours and events. Entertainment experiences - sports, concerts, theater. Learning experiences - cooking, fitness, art. Memorabilia items - signed by a celebrity. Art or crafts - especially by our local or well known artists. Luxury items - jewelry, watches, accessories. Donated services - home care, gardening, photography. And we always graciously welcome certificates to local restaurants, wineries and shops.
AND....as we Mardi Gras, N'orleans sounds will be provided LIVE by Bounce Kitty Buskers Jazz Band! (check them out on YouTube)

FINAL Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Measure Short description submitted
Measure M Transient Occupancy Tax To upgrade streets/sidewalks, address beach erosion, enhance wildfire preparedness, maintain City trees, and fund other general government purposes in City of Carmel-by-the-Sea, shall the measure establishing a new 2% transient occupancy tax, paid by lodging guests, in addition to the existing 10% transient occupancy tax, increasing the total tax rate to 12%, with the new 2% tax generating approximately $1,900,000 annually, and the total 12% tax generating $11,700,000 annually, until ended by voters, be adopted?

FINAL Sales Tax (TUT) Measure - Short description submitted
Measure N - Transactions and Use Tax (Sales Tax) To upgrade streets/sidewalks, address beach erosion, enhance wildfire preparedness, maintain City trees, and fund other general government purposes in City of Carmel-by-the-Sea, shall the measure increasing the transactions and use tax (also known as sales tax) by 0.375%, from 1.50% to 1.875%, providing approximately $1,800,000 annually in additional revenue and approximately $9,400,000 annually in total revenue, and extending the total 1.875% tax until ended by voters, with independent audits and all funds benefitting Carmel-by-the-Sea, be adopted?

- September 18, 2026 – Al James Band: Singer, songwriter, and composer Al James and his stellar band keep the guitar strumming and the good vibes coming.
- September 25, 2026 – Sabelle: Singer/songwriter stands out in the local music scene with her soft, resonant vocals and poetic lyricism.
Thursday August 27th, 10am-2pm CRA will be at a Community Table at Carmel-by-the-Sea's Weekly Farmers Market - Surrounding Devendorf Park.
Monday September 7th - Honoring Labor Day 2026
Saturday September 12 - Carmel Art Walk 4-7 PM is held the second Saturday every month and is open to the public. Tour artist-owned galleries and meet the artists who carry on the Carmel-by-the-Sea artist colony legacy. Follow the blue lanterns at each gallery. Details HERE
Tuesday September 15th 5:30-7:30 PM - CRA Host's - Carmel City Council Candidates Forum focused on Residential concerns at Carmel Woman's Club held every 2 years! Once again, Paul Miller owner and editor of the Carmel Pine Cone will moderate our session. Please submit your questions in advance up to September 7th HERE.
